Founded in 1906, United Oil Company is located on the North Shore in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, historically known as the heart of the steel and aluminum industries. It's location near the banks of the Ohio River, facilitated it's ability to reach customers in the Tri-State area and beyond. A man by the name of Edward D. Stevens, a long time resident of Pittsburgh with a family history in steel and a degree from MIT in metallurgical engineering, purchased United Oil Company in 1953. After working in the steel industry for many years, helping the war effort from the home front, Mr Stevens finally fulfilled his dream of owning his own business. Since then, United Oil has remained in the family for over 60 years. This has been achieved by strong business relationships that are built on trust and integrity. Our exceptional products, centralized location and consistent reliability prove to be a vital resource to our customers.

Who We Supply...Our customers include major steel and aluminum producers, small 'mom & pop' mills and machine shops, supply companies and distributors in both domestic and foreign markets. A considerable portion of product development has taken place with the participation of our customers and original equipment manufacturers. This close working relationship has created products that have stood the test of time in real world environments. The product lines have grown and been perfected to service a broad spectrum of industry processes and we are always looking to diversify into new markets.
United Oil Company is currently a woman-owned business and proudly produces premier lubricants for manufacturers of steel, aluminum, specialty industrial products and oil field products worldwide. |
